The Awards Board Chair, Jose' Moura, is seeking nominations for the position of Chair of the Fellow Reference Committee. The term of appointment is three years (1 January 2017-31 December 2019). The position is responsible for chairing the Fellow Reference Committee, which is responsible for evaluating nominations for IEEE Fellow that are referred for review by the IEEE Fellow Committee. The Fellow Reference Chair is also a member of the SPS Awards Board. The Fellow Reference Chair must hold the grade of IEEE Fellow and must be an SPS Member in good standing.

For our July 2016 issue, we cover recent patents dealing with hardware and signal processing issues of video processing.
