Upcoming Webinar: "FemtoPixel: Lensless Imaging with Compressive Ultrafast Sensing" presented by Dr. Guy Satat

Upcoming Webinar! January 21, 2020
Webinar Topic: "FemtoPixel: Lensless Imaging with Compressive Ultrafast Sensing"

Presented by Dr. Guy Satat and based on an IEEE Xplore article
published in IEEE Transactions on Computational Imaging

Presenter: Dr. Guy Satat

Date:  January 21, 2020
Time: 12:00 pm noon ET (New York time)
Duration: Approximately 1 hour
Register: Attendee Registration

About this Topic:

In this webinar, we'll introduce FemtoPixel: A framework for lensless imaging with compressive ultrafast sensing. The FemtoPixel framework provides single-pixel imaging capabilities that are up to 50X faster compared to traditional single-pixel camera techniques. The webinar will start with an introduction to the building blocks of FemtoPixel: compressive sensing and ultrafast sensing. We'll then introduce the FemtoPixel framework followed by a discussion of potential applications and future research directions.

About the Presenter:

Guy Satat

Dr. Guy Satat

Guy Satat graduated with honors from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, where he received the B.Sc. degree in both electrical engineering and physics. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the MIT Media Lab. His Master’s thesis proposed novel radiation-free medical imaging technologies.

His research included novel methods for imaging through fog and tissue using visible light with new sensing technologies and computational techniques, and developing extreme imaging such as lensless and single-pixel camera technologies.

Dr. Satat has won several awards including the Lemelson Student Prize competition, the AutoSens Most Influential Research, and the MIT AI Rising Star Award. After completing his doctorate, Dr. Satat joined X, formerly GoogleX.
