SPS is now soliciting nominations for speakers to serve for two Society programs, Distinguished Lecturer Program (DL) and Distinguished Industry Speaker Program (DIS).

Advances in nano-fabrication and MEMS devices have led to radical improvements in sensing technologies in recent years. These improvements are most visible to all of us in our Smartphones that already feature a panoply of miniaturized sensors.

IEEE SPS has built a streamlined mechanism for employers to add a job announcement by simply filling in a simple job opportunity submission Web form related to a particular TC field. Verbal communication in noisy environments can be hard. Speech enhancement using head-worn microphone arrays, such as hearing aids or augmented reality devices offers the opportunity to make it easier. However, the highly dynamic nature of the listening situation presents some challenges.

Impulse is the annual flagship event of the IEEE Signal Processing Society of IEEE-NITK (National Institute of Technology Karnataka, India) Student Chapter. It is a 24-hour signal processing hackathon, and 2023 was the third edition of this one-of-a-kind event!

Nominations will be open 1 December - 15 June for IEEE Medals and Recognitions - IEEE’s highest awards. All are encouraged to submit a nomination for a worthy candidate within their technical fields.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society is happy to announce the addition of twenty-six new Chapters formed in 2022. We welcome the following SPS Chapters and wish them great success in their future activities and events.

IEEE Signal Processing Society Past President Ahmed Tewfik, in his capacity as Chair of the Society’s Nominations and Appointments Committee, invites nominations for the IEEE Signal Processing Society Officer positions of President-Elect for the term 1 January 2024-31 December 2025, Vice President-Conferences for the term of 1 January 2024-31 December 2026 and Vice President-Publications for the term of 1 January 2024-31 December 2026.
