Registration Now Open for New IEEE Vision, Innovation, and Challenges Summit & Honors Ceremony Gala

The inaugural IEEE Vision, Innovation, and Challenges Summit (IEEE VIC Summit) will take place at The Palace Hotel in San Francisco, CA, USA, on 25 May 2017. It will present a unique opportunity to meet, mingle, and network with peers and some of the top technology “giants” in the world. It will be a dynamic one-day event to showcase the breadth of engineering by bringing together innovators, visionaries, and leaders of technology in the Silicon Valley area to discuss what is imminent, to explore what is possible, and what will these emerging areas mean for the future.

IEEE Signal Processing Society Vice President-Membership Nikos Sidiropoulos invites nominations for the positions of Chief Editor, Signal Processing Repository (SigPort) and Chief Editor, Resource Center for a 3-year term starting 1 January 2018. Nominations must be received no later than 31 March 2017. SIGPORT SigPort is the Society’s online archive of manuscripts, reports, theses, and supporting materials. It collects technical material of interest to the broad signal processing community.

A ‘Scholar in the Making’: Student Member Sean Young reflects on his time with the IEEE Signal Processing Society

A self-proclaimed “scholar in the making,” SPS Student Member Sean Young credits his growth in the field to his time with the Society.
