Every year in December, the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) announces its most recent awardees. 2015 was an extremely successful year for the IFS-TC community. It is our pleasure to announce the following awards:
- MERITORIOUS SERVICE AWARD: Min Wu for exemplary service to and leadership in the Signal Processing Society.
- SUSTAINED IMPACT PAPER AWARD: Ingemar J. Cox, Joe Kilian, F. Thomson Leighton and Talal Shamoon for the paper titled, "Secure Spread Spectrum Watermarking for Multimedia", published in the IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, Volume 6, Number 12, December 1997
- BEST PAPER AWARD: Xiaoyang Tan and Bill Triggs for the paper titled, "Enhanced Local Texture Feature Sets for Face Recognition Under Difficult Lighting Conditions", published in the IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, Volume 19, Number 6, June 2010.
- BEST PAPER AWARD: Tomáš Pevný, Patrick Bas and Jessica Fridrich for the paper titled, "Steganalysis by Subtractive Pixel Adjacency Matrix", published in the Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, Volume 5, Number 2, June 2010.
- IEEE LEON K. KRICHMAYER GRADUATE TEACHING AWARD FOR SIGNAL PROCESSING: K.J. Ray Liu for exemplary teaching and curriculum development, inspirational mentoring of graduate students, and broad educational impact in signal processing and communications.
