Opportunity:

OSSIC is hiring for the role of Embedded SW Engineer to develop SW (Applications and Firmware) for audio systems. A successful candidate should be familiar with SW architecture design and implementation as well as common serial buses, C/C++ languages, and micro-controllers.  The software engineer should have excellent debugging skills and the ability to interact with HW engineers to solve problems. An ideal candidate is open to learning new program languages and work management methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize software for audio systems (Applications and Firmware)
  • Maintain code-base using version control system
  • Test code base implementing “Unit Tests” and “Regression Tests”

Required Skills:

  • BSc. or MSc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines
  •  Strong proficiency in C and C++
  • Experience in the design and development of embedded systems for consumer products
  • Experience with multi-threaded systems
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and discuss them with your colleague
  •  Ability to review other people’s code in a constructive way
  • 5+ years of experience developing embedded systems for related products
  • Excellent teamwork in a dynamic project environment and fluent in English

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of digital and analog audio electronics
  • Knowledge of DSP, digital/analog filters, CODEC’s, and amplifiers
