We are currently recruiting for a

Software Engineer, Weather Radars

to further strengthen our team Westford MA. The selected person will have an essential role in developing the measurement performance of our weather radars through signal processing and algorithm development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • implementation of new algorithms for processing weather radar data
  • development of new algorithms and processing methods
  • maintenance of current signal processing software

In this expert role, the new Software Engineer will also contribute to providing support to our field service staff and customers, when algorithm performance needs to be analyzed and understood in detail.

To be successful in this role, we are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications and characteristics:

  • Expertise in digital signal processing and algorithm development
  • Familiarity with radar technologies, preferably weather radars
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field
  • Programming skills in C/C++, knowledge of Python an advantage
  • Collaborative and communicative
  • Self-starter and self-finisher
  • Drive and curiosity to understand and improve the performance of our products

This position will offer an opportunity to be an influential part of an international team developing the world’s best weather radars, sold to numerous customers globally, from New Zealand to northern Finland. Our high-performance signal processors are also sold independently and used to upgrade existing radars, including the US NEXRAD network.
