WIFS 2018 Paper Submission Instructions

  1. All the submissions will be subjected to double-blind review process. Therefore author names, affiliations, email addresses, personal acknowledgements, etc. should be removed from the paper. Instead of writing “In our previous papers [1], we show that…-> “In paper [1], the authors show that …/li>
  2. Please use the submission template [latex] [MS-Word].

  3. A complete paper should be submitted using the above templates, which are blind-submission review-formatted templates. The length should match that intended for final publication. Prospective authors should submit full-length, six-page papers (excluding references). Please note that there will be no page charges.

  4. Conflict Responsibilities: It is the primary author's responsibility to ensure that all authors on their paper have registered their institutional conflicts into CMT. For each author, please enter the domain of his/her current institution (example: polyu.edu.hk; microsoft.com). Please enter ONLY ONE institution, except when the author was in more than one institution in the last 12 months (July 15, 2017 - July 15, 2018). DO NOT enter the domain of email providers such as gmail.com. This institutional conflict information is to be used in conjunction with prior authorship conflict information to resolve assignments to both reviewers and area chairs. If a paper is found to have an undeclared or incorrect institutional conflict, the paper may be summarily rejected.

  5. Submitted papers should not have been published, accepted or under review elsewhere. Papers accepted and presented at WIFS 2018 will be available in the IEEE Xplore digital library.

  6. The most common reason for paper rejection is a lack of clear evidence of what is novel in the work, and the extent to which it advances the state-of-the-art.

  7. Authors are required by the IEEE to transfer copyrights for any papers to be published in the conference proceedings. This is performed at the time when the camera ready version is submitted for production. If a paper is withdrawn from the proceedings, copyright gets reverted to the authors.

  8. Papers accepted must be presented by one of the authors, and at least one full registration per paper is required.

  9. If no authors attend the workshop to present their work, the paper will be withdrawn from the proceedings and from IEEE Xplore.

  10. All the papers should be submitted using CMT at https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/WIFS2018
