SPS Members Receive 2024 IEEE Technical Field Awards
IEEE has announced the 2024 IEEE Technical Field Award recipients. Three IEEE Signal Processing Society members have been recognized with an IEEE Technical Field Award:
- The IEEE James L. Flanagan Speech and Audio Processing Award awarded for an outstanding contribution to the advancement of speech and/or audio signal processing, will be presented to Keiichi Tokuda for pioneering contributions to statistical speech synthesis and speech signal processing.
- The IEEE Eric E. Sumner Award awarded for outstanding contributions to communications technology, will be presented to Geoffrey Ye Li and Leonard J. Cimini, Jr. for fundamental contributions to frequency domain communications including orthogonal frequency division multiplexing.
