Welcome from the General Chairs

Welcome from the General Chairs

On behalf of the organizing committee, we are very pleased to welcome you to the Fifth International Workshop on Computational Advances in Multi-Sensor Adaptive Processing (CAMSAP) in Saint Martin, a French-Dutch island in the Caribbean. This workshop will consist of 22 invited and contributed technical sessions, 6 plenary talks by the world’s leading researchers, as well as 2 tutorials on timely topics.

We have been greatly helped by a superb team of colleagues, including many of you, who have been tirelessly working to make this workshop a success. We thank Saeed Gazor and Volkan Cevher for preparing a first-rate technical program and organizing a student paper competition. The student paper competition and generous financial support of the U.S. Army Research Office (ARO) (which sponsored student travel grants and lower student registration fees) have facilitated an increased student participation in this CAMSAP.

Many thanks to Hongya Ge for handling the finances, to Pu Wang for the publicity, and to Jean-Yves Tourneret for the local arrangements. We are particularly grateful to all the authors, plenary speakers, session organizers, and reviewers for their contributions.

Much more than a beach-lover’s paradise, the island of Saint Martin is teeming with natural, cultural, and human riches. Thanks to its climate and untouched natural heritage, the island offers unparalleled year-round water sports and outdoor activities. The capital of duty-free shopping, Saint Martin is also renowned for its friendly welcome, culinary delights, and lively nightlife.

Please take some time to discover the unique identity of Saint Martin, including excursions to the nearby traditional fishing village of Grand Case, the Gourmet Capital of the Caribbean.
