Events of the Student Branch Chapter: Babu Banarasi Das Institute of Technology and Management (BBDITM)

Since the establishment of the IEEE BBDITM Signal Processing Society on December 30, 2020, we have successfully organized 54 events. There was a grand inauguration of the society chapter on 04^th February 2021. And several other events were organized both offline as well as online by our branch chapter. The events focused on the idea of innovation, increment of strategic and problem thinking skills, professional development, success guidelines by experts, counseling by experts and technical awareness of the members and the participants. Students were given certificates at the end of each program as a gesture of appreciation so that their interest and curiosity in the field remain in constant growth. The events were also organized keeping in mind that the students should be aware of the future careers present in these fields.

The major offline events organized were:

• Inauguration Session: The inauguration of the Signal Processing Society chapter was held in offline mode on February 4, 2021. Esteemed guests were present for the session. After the guest Lecture period, refreshment program followed by the lunch was organized for the guests as well as the participants present. The bills are attached at the end of the report.

• Executive Committee Training: An executive committee training was organized for all the newly appointed members of the society chapter. At the end of the training session refreshments were offered to all the members and seniors present. The bills are attached at the end of the report.

• Workshop on Introduction to ML: A workshop on Introduction to Machine Learning was organised on  October 11, 2021. Not only students were given thereotical knowledge but also practical experience. All the participants who took part in the workshop were given certificates. And the experts were commended for their time and presence with momentos. Refreshment program followed by the lunch was also organised at the end of the session.

• Membership Drive: IEEE Signal Processing Membership Drive was organised during the IEEE Day celebration. A lot of new members were registered to be a part of the Signal Processing Society chapter.

• Executive Committee Meeting: As soon as the college reopened, the executive Committee meetings and working of the members returned to offline procedures.

• Webinar on Innovation and Startup: Various webinars were organised on the raging topic of 'Innovation and Startup' in the offline mode. Certificates were distributed to the participants.

• Workshop on ASP.net: A workshop on ASP.net was organised by the Signal Processing Society chapter on October 13, 2021. ASP.NET is an open-source, server-side web-application framework designed for web development to produce dynamic web pages. It was developed by Microsoft to allow programmers to build dynamic web sites, applications and services.

• Workshop on Introduction to Python: Python being the most common language in today's generation and it also plays an important role in Machine Learning. A workshop was organised to give students an insight on Python and it's working.

• Expert Lecture on IoT and its Application: A special guest lecture was organised on ' IoT and its application' in collaboration with all the other society chapters. IoT is one of the most popular topics among the IT field.

• Chapter Grant Program: In this program our members went to rural areas and promoted the use of technology and importance of education among the parents and children present there. Underprivileged women and girls were encouraged to join innovation training program to enhance their startups. That will help them to earn their bread.

• IEEE Day Celebration: In the first week of October a grand celebration of IEEE DAY was organised by all the society chapters. Signal Processing Society chapter not only organised an event but also conducted a membership drive at the end of the celebration. And we made a strong team with an addition of 70+ new enthusiastic members.
