SPS Webinar Series 6 April 2021: Signal Processing And Computational imagE formation (SPACE)
Given the impossibility of travel during the COVID-19 crisis, Computational Imaging TC is launching an SPS Webinar Series SPACE (Signal Processing And Computational imagE formation) as a regular bi-weekly online seminar series to reach out to the global computational imaging and signal processing community.
Job Opportunities in Signal Processing
IEEE SPS has built a streamlined mechanism for employers to add a job announcement by simply filling in a simple job opportunity submission Web form related to a particular TC field. To submit job announcements for a particular Technical Committee, the submission form can be found by visiting the page below and selecting a particular TC.
Hybrid Beamforming for 5G Millimeter-Wave Systems
The upcoming 5G network needs to achieve substantially larger link capacity and ultra-low latency to support emerging mobile applications. While conventional techniques have reached their limits, uplifting the carrier frequency to the millimeter-wave (mm-wave) band stands out as an effective approach to further boost the network capacity, as it provides orders of magnitude greater spectrum than current cellular bands.
Extended Deadline - 23 April: Call for Nominations for Editors-in-Chief
At this time, we are extending the Editor-in-Chief nomination deadline for the following journals: IEEE/ACM Transactions on Audio, Speech, and Language Processing, IEEE Transactions on Computational Imaging, and IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security. Nomination are due by 23 April 2023.
Key Agreement with Physical Unclonable Functions and Biometric Identifiers
This thesis addresses security and privacy problems for digital devices and biometrics, where a secret key is generated for authentication, identification, or secure computa- tions. A physical unclonable function (PUF) is a promising solution for local security in digital devices.
PROGRESS Workshop at ICASSP 2021
Join us in the second year of PROmotinG DiveRsity in Signal ProcESSing (PROGRESS), which is an initiative of the IEEE Signal Processing Society designed to motivate, provide information and support women and under-represented minorities in pursuing academic careers in signal processing.
Call for Nominations: Distinguished Industry Speakers and Distinguished Lecturers
The IEEE Signal Processing Society invites nominations for the SPS Distinguished Industry Speaker (DIS) Program and the Distinguished Lecturer (DL) Program. Please note that the Distinguished Industry Speaker positions supplements the Distinguished Lecturer Program. The main difference and goal of the DIS Program is to educate and interact with Society members about topics that are of primary importance to industry and the signal processing community-at-large.
Updated SPS Chapter Logo Usage and Branding Guidelines
The IEEE Signal Processing Society has developed guidelines related to SPS Chapter social media and Chapter Activities.
IEEE Brain Community
The Signal Processing Society (SPS) is a sponsoring society of the IEEE Brain Community. As a sponsor of the Brain Community, IEEE SPS members and student members can join the IEEE Brain Community as individuals for free.
Call for Nominations: Board of Governors Members-at-Large and Regional Directors-at-Large
In accordance with the Bylaws of the IEEE Signal Processing Society, the membership will elect, by direct ballot, THREE Members-at-Large to the Board of Governors for three-year terms commencing 1 January 2022 and ending 31 December 2024, as well as TWO Regional Directors-at-Large for the corresponding regions: Regions 7&9 (Canada & Latin America) and Region 10 (Asia & Pacific) for two-year terms commencing 1 January 2022 and ending 31 December 2023.
