Annual Service Deactivation – 27 February
All members who did not renew for 2021 by 31 December have a two-month grace period in which to renew without losing access to their benefits. On 27 February that grade period ends, and any member who has not yet renewed will have their benefits and services deactivated.
Interview with Vineeth N. Balasubramanian, Associate Professor, IIT Hyderabad, India
Vineeth N. Balasubramanian is an Associate Professor in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IIT-H), India, and currently also serves as the Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence at IIT-H. His research interests include deep learning, machine learning, and computer vision.
Call for Nominations: IEEE TMM 2021 Multimedia Prize Paper Award
The 2021 Multimedia Prize Paper Award Nomination Period is Open. Any paper published in T-MM in 2018, 2019, or 2020 is eligible. Judging shall be on the bases of originality, subject matter, timeliness, potential impact, and presentation quality.

Delhi Chapter Receives the 2020 Chapter of the Year Award!
The IEEE Signal Processing Society Delhi Chapter has been selected as the recipient of the 2020 Chapter of the Year Award! The Chapter of the Year Award will be presented at the ICASSP 2021 Awards Ceremony in Toronto, Canada.
Call for Nominations for Editor-in-Chief
The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) invites nominations for the position of Editor-in-Chief for the following journals: IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Signal Processing, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Audio, Speech, and Language Processing, IEEE Transactions on Computational Imaging, IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, and IEEE Transactions on Signal and Information Processing over Networks for a 3-year term starting 1 January 2022.

I obtained my Bachelor of Engineering in Medical Electronics with University Rank from BMSCE, and a Masters of Engineering (M.E) in Bioinformatics from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore.

41 SPS Members Elevated to Fellow
Each year, the IEEE Board of Directors confers the grade of Fellow on up to one-tenth of one percent of the voting members. To qualify for consideration, an individual must have been a Member, normally for five years or more, and a Senior Member at the time for nomination to Fellow.
