IEEE SPS Day - June 2023

All throughout June, IEEE Signal Processing Society Chapters and Student Branch Chapters from around the world gathered to celebrate the inaugural SPS Day! Established this year in conjunction with the Society’s 75th anniversary, SPS Day will be celebrated every 2 June to commemorate SPS’s establishment on that date in 1948. Events from across IEEE Regions ranged from virtual technical talks to in-person community events, giving SPS members the opportunity to connect locally to advance the Society’s mission and celebrate their own achievements.

Chapters and Student Branch Chapters also had the opportunity to join the SPS Day photo contest, submitting their best event photos for the chance to win an extra $250 for Chapter activities for the year! The 2023 winner will be announced soon, so stay tuned!

SPS Day will be celebrated every 2 June, so SPS Chapters and Student Branch Chapters are encouraged to start planning early. Visit the SPS Day website for tools and templates to host and promote your event – we look forward to seeing you next year!
