The IEEE Signal Processing Society welcomes proposals from prospective organizers of 2018-2019 winter schools under the S3P (Seasonal Schools in Signal Processing) Program.  S3P seasonal schools are typically either summer schools or winter schools, and are geared towards providing graduate students, early stage researchers, and practitioners with background on selected topics in signal processing. 

The IEEE Signal Processing Society invites nominations for the new SPS Distinguished Industry Speaker (DIS) Program and the Distinguished Lecturer (DL) Program. Please note that the Distinguished Industry Speaker positions will supplement the regular Distinguished Lecturer Program.

Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI) has been proven to be a valuable source of diagnostic information concerning heart health. One application, myocardial blood flow (MBF) quantification using first-pass contrast-enhanced myocardial perfusion, has aided the detection of coronary artery disease and provides an accurate evaluation of myocardial ischemia, an identifier of coronary artery stenosis. 

In the coming years, cities are expected to deal with an increasing number and type of services for their citizens, all having to do with overarching goals such as sustainability, environment, quality of life, energy saving, just to name a few. As the population living in urban areas is expected to double by 2050, there is a general consensus that any new process will require more than just an incremental upgrading of the cities’ organization, infrastructure, and services provided to its citizens.

The deadline for the Regional Director-at-Large Regions 1-6 nominations noted in the below message has been extended to 20 April 2018.  The nomination period for the other noted positions is considered closed.  Submission details are noted below.

The Signal Processing Society (SPS) has 12 Technical Committees and 3 Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that support a broad selection of signal processing-related activities defined by the scope of the Society. Technical Committees and Special Interest Groups are actively involved in awards, conferences, publications, and educational activities, and provide technical advice to the Society's leadership.
