Signal Processing Society Members Receive 2012 IEEE Medals

The IEEE Jack S. Kilby Signal Processing Medal is being presented to G. Clifford Carter of Naval Undersea Water Center, Newport, RI. The IEEE Jack S. Kilby Signal Processing Medal is given for outstanding achievements in signal processing.

The IEEE Dennis J. Picard Medal for Radar Technologies and Applications is being presented to Karl Gerlach of US Naval Research Laboratory, Chesapeake Beach, MD. The IEEE Dennis J. Picard Medal for Radar Technologies and Applications is given for outstanding accomplishments in advancing the fields of radar technologies and their applications.

The IEEE W.R.G. Baker Paper Award is being presented to seven co-recipients Gerhard Krieger of TANDEM-X, Wessling, Germany; Alberto Moreira, German Aerospace Center, Wessling, Germany; Hauke Fiedler, Del Haydnstr, Germering, Germany; Irena Hajnsek, Institute of Environmental Engineering Institute of Environmental Engineering, ETH Zurich, Germany; Marian Werner, Muenchnerstr, Wessling, Germany; Marwan Younis, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Karlsruhe, Germany; Manfred Zink, Microwaves and Radar Institute, Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany. The W.R.G. Baker Paper Award is given for the most outstanding paper reporting original work in any of the IEEE Transactions, Journals, Magazines, or Proceedings.
