vTools.Meetings http://meetings.vtools.ieee.org/main version 3.1.0 was released on 23 February 2011. vTools.Meetings is a tool for effective management of Section and Chapter meetings. The latest release introduces significant enhancements for the Credit Card Payment user interface and functionality. Additionally, vTools.Meetings now only requires a valid IEEE Web account http://www.ieee.org/about/help/Task/my_account/web_account.html?WT.mc_id=msim_wa login for searching, creation, and viewing of L31 reports. A member with an IEEE Web account will be able to submit an L31 report for their organizational unit (OU). Editing and deleting can still only be done by an officer of the unit. This ensures that while the widest possible audience can submit reports for the OU, a record of who created the reports is kept, based on the login data. This change in authorization for L31 report submission will be closely monitored by the vTools team and adjusted as necessary. vTools has also made a survey tool available to Region, Section, Chapter, and Affinity Group officers. vTools.Surveys http://surveys.vtools.ieee.org/ can be used to quickly create online surveys using an intuitive interface and distribute them via e-mail, Web link, etc. Collected results can be easily analyzed, and graphical reports can be shared with others.
