Technical Committee News

The IEEE Biometrics Council is proud to announce that the Spring 2013 edition of its newsletter is now available.

It contains a number of updates on biometric conferences/workshops and other IEEE activities related to biometrics. Namely, this edition of the newsletter contains:

  • an interview of Ann Cavoukian (Information and Privacy Commissioner, Ontario, Canada) who discusses Privacy by Design and Privacy-Protective Biometric Technologies;
  • a short article entitled "Heterogeneous Face Recognition Using Kernel Prototype Similarities" authored by Brendan F. Klare and Anil K. Jain;
  • a conference report for ICB 2013 and CVPR 2013 Biometrics Workshop;
  • the agenda of forthcoming biometrics conferences;
