Events of the Student Branch Chapter: Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad

In the year 2021 SPS Student Branch Chapter of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, conducted many events to date and a few are in the pipeline. It has conducted 3 executive committee meetings in hybrid mode and two hands-on-demo ac co-organizers on 2D and 3D CNNs for Face Recognition by Dr. Satish Kumar Singh and Mr. Nayaneesh Mishra on December 6, 2021 and Image-to-Image Translation using Generative Adversarial Networks by Dr. Shiv Ram Dubey and Mr. Nand Kumar Yadav on December 8, 2021 respectively. 

Other than the above events, the following 5 technical lectures/talks were arranged:

1. Signal Processing for power engineering and smart grid by Dr. S. N. Singh, IIT Kanpur, Fellow IEEE, and past Chair India Council on 6th October 2021 (Honoraria Provided INR 5000).
    
2. Linear algebra for Signal processing by Dr. A. G. Ramakrishnan, IISc Bangalore, SrMember IEEE on 21st October 2021 (Honoraria Provided INR 5000).
    
3. Graph Neural Network by Dr. Xiaoyi Jiang, Fellow IAPR, the University of Munster Germany on 6th Dec 2021 (Partial Honoraria to be Provided INR 5000).
    
4. Meta-Learning: The Method of Learning to Learn by Dr. Shekhar Verma IIIT Allahabad on 6th Dec 2021 (Honoraria Provided INR 5000).
    
5. Offline Handwriting Recognition of Text in Indian Script by DeepNet by Prof. B. B. Chaudhuri Fellow IEEE on 10th Dec 2021  (Honoraria Provided INR 5000).

SPS Student Branch Chapter also co-organized the IEEE SPS School Project on advances in Biometric Signal Processing Techniques October 23-28, 2021 and IEEE UP SPS Ideation on October 28, 2021.
