Professor Konstantinos N (Kostas) Plataniotis is the Bell Canada Endowed Chair in Multimedia and a professor with The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto (UofT) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where he directs the Multimedia Laboratory.

IEEE SPS has built a streamlined mechanism for employers to add a job announcement by simply filling in a simple job opportunity submission Web form related to a particular TC field. To submit job announcements for a particular Technical Committee, the submission form can be found by visiting the page below and selecting a particular TC.

The Signal Processing Society (SPS) conducts webinars presented by professionals in the field of signal processing and related technologies on an ongoing basis. The IEEE SPS ME-UYR (Mentoring Experiences for Underrepresented Young Researchers) steering committee will launch the second installment of its mentoring program for young IEEE SPS researchers and would like to invite you to join as potential student mentors.

The Nominations and Appointments Subcommittee for each Technical Committee is currently seeking nominations for new Members, as well as the Vice Chair position for some Technical Committees. Nominations for both positions should be submitted directly to each Technical Committee’s Nominations and Appointments Subcommittee. Please provide the name, contact information, IEEE member number and biography with the nomination.

The Board of Governors of the IEEE Signal Processing Society elected two new Officers who will start their terms on 1 January 2024.

The Signal Processing Society (SPS) has 12 Technical Committees that support a broad selection of signal processing-related activities defined by the scope of the Society.

Dr. Arpan Pal has more than 30 years of experience in the area of Intelligent Sensing, Signal Processing &AI, Edge Computing and Affective Computing. Currently, he serves as a Distinguished Chief Scientist and Research Area Head, Embedded Devices and Intelligent Systems, TCS Research. He is working in the areas of Connected Health, Smart Manufacturing, Smart Retail and Remote Sensing.

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) invites nominations for the positions of Awards Board Chair and Fellow Evaluation Committee - Chair and Vice Chair. Nominations should be received no later than 13 July 2023.
