Waikiki Beach

The IEEE Automatic Speech Recognition and Understanding (ASRU) Workshop 2025 will take place December 6–10, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa in Honolulu, Hawaii.

This premier event brings together leading researchers, industry experts, and innovators to explore cutting-edge developments in Automatic Speech Recognition and Understanding.

The workshop fosters collaboration between academia and industry, offering an intimate environment for knowledge exchange and networking. Attendees will gain insights into:

  • Speech recognition systems
  • Spoken dialog systems
  • Speech analysis and paralinguistic phenomena
  • Applications of automatic speech recognition and speech analysis
  • Large language models for speech
  • Speech foundation models.

We received a record 447 submissions, accepting 212 papers (regular, special session, challenge, and demo), for an overall acceptance rate of 47.43%. This year, ASRU has attracted 385 registered participants, representing a strong mix of industry and academia.
