Call for Proposals: Organize the Prestigious SP Cup 2027

Competition

The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is excited to announce the Call for Proposals (CFP) to organize the prestigious SP Cup 2027. This competition is recognized as one of the most distinguished events organized by the SPS.

This call for proposals is aimed specifically at identifying the next organizing committee for the SP Cup 2027. Interested proposers must submit a competition topic and present a complete organizing team. While no official limitations are set, it is expected that organizers will be experienced SPS members of a "Member" grade or higher.

Organizing the SP Cup provides a valuable opportunity to develop and test new ideas using a dataset that the organizers have or are currently curating. The competition typically attracts significant global participation, usually involving dozens of student teams from all over the world.

To recognize their efforts, the organizing team will be invited to write an SP Magazine Column Article featuring the main highlights from the competition after the event.

The grand finale of the competition will be held at ICASSP 2027. The SPS is committed to supporting the event's participants by providing travel support for the finalist teams to attend ICASSP 2027. Additionally, SPS will sponsor the winning teams' awards.
