Annual Service Deactivation – 27 February
All members who did not renew for 2021 by 31 December have a two-month grace period in which to renew without losing access to their benefits. On 27 February that grade period ends, and any member who has not yet renewed will have their benefits and services deactivated.
Interview with Vineeth N. Balasubramanian, Associate Professor, IIT Hyderabad, India
Vineeth N. Balasubramanian is an Associate Professor in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IIT-H), India, and currently also serves as the Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence at IIT-H. His research interests include deep learning, machine learning, and computer vision.
Call for Nominations: IEEE TMM 2021 Multimedia Prize Paper Award
The 2021 Multimedia Prize Paper Award Nomination Period is Open. Any paper published in T-MM in 2018, 2019, or 2020 is eligible. Judging shall be on the bases of originality, subject matter, timeliness, potential impact, and presentation quality.
Updated SPS Chapter Logo Usage and Branding Guidelines
The IEEE Signal Processing Society has developed guidelines related to SPS Chapter social media and Chapter Activities.

US$200 for each Chapter and Affinity Group meeting minimum requirements in accordance with the following sections of the MGA Operations Manual.
OU Analytics - A Valuable Resource for Volunteers
As a reminder for continuing chapter chairs and for incoming chapter chairs for 2021, we would like to highlight a valuable resource available to you. Launched in 2018, IEEE OU Analytics, is a web-based business intelligence tool which delivers essential metrics on memberships or subscriptions to OUs, including Societies, Councils, Technical Communities, etc.

Interview with Prof. B. Yegnanarayana, INSA Senior Scientist, IIIT Hyderabad, India
Bayya Yegnanarayana is currently INSA Senior Scientist at the International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT-H). He was an Institute Professor & Microsoft Chair from 2006 to 2016 at IIIT-H. He was a Professor (1980 to 2006) and Head of the CSE Dept (1985 to 1989) at IIT Madras, a visiting Associate Professor at Carnegie-Mellon University (CMU), Pittsburgh, USA (1977 to 1980), and a member of the faculty at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, (1966 to 1978).
41 SPS Members Elevated to Fellow
Each year, the IEEE Board of Directors confers the grade of Fellow on up to one-tenth of one percent of the voting members. To qualify for consideration, an individual must have been a Member, normally for five years or more, and a Senior Member at the time for nomination to Fellow.
Call for Nominations: Chief Editor, SigPort and Chief Editor, Resource Center
EEE Signal Processing Society Vice President-Education Shrikanth (Shri) S. Narayanan invites nominations for the positions of Chief Editor, Signal Processing Repository (SigPort) and Chief Editor, Resource Center for a 3-year term starting 1 January 2022. Nominations must be received no later than 5 April 2021.
