June 28-July 1, 2027 | Annecy, France

IEEE Statistical Signal Processing (SSP) workshop is one of the foremost international conferences on statistical signal processing and its applications. The 24th edition comes to Annecy, a lakeside town in the French Alps, with world-class plenary speakers and regular and special sessions covering the latest research and innovation in the field. The conference will take place in Annecy, France, from June 28 through July 1, 2027, with The Centre de Congrès Impérial-Grand Annecy, serving as the conference venue. It is set within a Belle Époque building constructed in 1913, directly on the shores of Lake Annecy in the heart of the French Alps. It combines heritage architecture with modern conference facilities, and its meeting rooms and terraces look out over the lake and the surrounding mountains. The venue sits minutes from the historic old town, so participants can walk between sessions, hotels and dinner. The quiet setting suits focused scientific exchange as well as the conversations that happen between sessions.

The technical program of SSP 2027 is organized around several core themes that reflect the evolving landscape of the following fields: Detection & estimation theory, Speech & language processing, Data-driven methods, Multimodal signal processing, Machine learning & pattern recognition, Image & video processing, Bayesian techniques, Sensor management, Sparsity & compressive sensing, IoT & sensor networks, Matrix & tensor methods, Signal processing for communications & networking, High-dimensional inference, Biomedical signal & image processing, Graph signal processing, Bioinformatics & genomics, Optimization techniques, Geoscience & seismology, Adaptive & distributed SP, Financial signal processing, Sampling & reconstruction, Astrophysics, Array, radar & sonar, Quantum signal processing, Multi-target tracking, Smart grids & industry, Information forensics & security, Other emerging topics, Audio & acoustic signal processing. The conference will host various Special Tracks on cutting-edge topics in the forms of plenaries, Technical and Special Sessions as well as tutorials.

SSP 2027 is led by Conference Co-Chairs Esa Ollila, Aalto University, Finland and Guillaume Ginolhac, Université Savoie Mont Blanc, France, and supported by an international organizing committee overseeing the technical program, plenaries, publications, finance, and publicity. SSP 2027 is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Signal Processing Society.

We invite prospective authors to submit full-length papers of four pages of technical content, with a fifth page of references only. The important dates are :

  • Special sessions proposals:  7 December 2026
  • Tutorial proposals: 7 December 2026
  • Special sessions/Tutorial acceptance notification: 21 December 2026
  • Paper submission deadline:    7 February 2027
