Position Description: 

Several Ph.D. positions with full financial assistantship are available at the Autonomous Systems Perception, Intelligence, & Navigation Laboratory (https://aspin.ucr.edu); University of California, Irvine (https://uci.edu). The research will be in the broad areas of Autonomous Systems, Communication Systems, and Signal Processing with applications to: satellites, unmanned aerial vehicles, self-driving cars, indoor robotics, and mobile devices. Desired qualifications: (1) B.S. or M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field; (2) knowledge of wireless communications and/or GNSS; (3) hands-on expertise in software-defined radio (SDR) design and implementation; and (4) strong programming skills (MATLAB, LabVIEW, and/or C++).
