Responsibilities: Lead design and development of DSP Firmware used across the EarLens product portfolio; Develop Matlab simulation models, theory of operation and implementation of DSP algorithm in Assembly for hearing aid applications; Analyze and Implement optimized signal processing algorithms supporting speech processing strategies; Work with existing firmware and software to make performance improvements and resolve design errors; Interpret test results and suggest performance improvement recommendations; Work on real-time systems under hardware constraints; Prototype algorithm iterations using simulation tools and measure/optimize performance.

Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Engineering and/or in Computer Science required, MS desired; Minimum of 7 years hearing-aid medical device and/or consumer electronics product development experience; Experience of audio DSP algorithm development, implementation (Matlab, C and DSP assembly), and performance testing; Proficient in Matlab, Simulink, Audio Precision. Knowledge of feedback suppression, noise reduction, feedback cancellation is desirable; Excellent verbal and writing skills, leadership skills and collaborative orientation; Strong audio DSP and digital filter design background; Understanding of ARM application processor and programming; Familiarity with acoustic testing environment; Architecture Knowledge: Audio Codecs, I2S, I2C, SPI, ARM architecture, DSP Architectures (Fixed Point).
