Opportunity:

OSSIC is hiring a Principal Software Engineer. A successful candidate will be able to translate prototype algorithms from high-level languages and frameworks into a highly efficient implementations on targeted hardware and operating systems. Although we are looking for candidates with a computer science background, an Acoustics or Electrical Engineer with excellent SW skills are encouraged to apply.

 Responsibilities:

• Implement and improve algorithms for 3D audio rendering
• Optimize algorithms on various hardware platforms and operating systems

Required Skills:

• MSc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Acoustics
• 7 + years of experience developing complex SW systems
• Excellent C/C++ skills
• Excellent grasp of issues related to dynamic and static libraries
• Experience with multi-threaded and real-time systems
• Experience with Agile SW development
• Experience with development of Embedded Systems
• Expert in at least one operating system

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with audio DSP is desired
• Experience with audio plugins would be an advantage
