Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Signal/Image Processing Engineer for an exciting Orlando, FL position. The candidate will develop signal processing algorithms for complex RF sensors (passive and active sensors). Effort includes: Sensor algorithm design, integration, and test activities, coordinating sensor algorithm test activities with functional and Program Management. The candidate will also coordinate trade studies using an integrated flight simulation (IFS).

The individual will be responsible for algorithm requirements and related test activities. Experience with common modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB and C++ is required. Strong communication skills, both orally and written, to support creation of design description documents and presentations is desired. Candidate will support trade studies, presentations, proposals and related activities.

Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is about an hour's drive from Cocoa Beach and the "space coast" to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1.5 hours from Orlando. West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate is a U.S. Citizen and currently holds a DoD Secret clearance with a background investigation within the last 5 years.
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform some combination of the following Image and Signal Processing assignments:
• Perform design/analysis of image processing algorithms employing image enhancement, detection and correlation techniques.
• Design algorithms for scene/target signal or image enhancement and scene image correlation for multi-sensor fusion.
• Design EO target discrimination algorithms to meet low false alarm rates with high target detection, recognition, and classification capability.
• Optimize algorithms to meet memory and throughput capabilities of the processing hardware.
• Capture and process flight test data to assess and enhance algorithm performance.
• Verify compliance to customer requirements via simulation, and analysis of test data.
• Work effectively with embedded software engineers to ensure algorithms are appropriately implemented and verified.
• Demonstrate image and signal processing design skills utilizing C++ and MATLAB.
• Demonstrate experience working with MATLAB and C++ simulations using collected data and synthetic data.
• Demonstrate strong math skills used in simulation development experience.
