The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) invites nominations for the position of Chief Editor for the Signal Processing Repository (SigPort) for a 3-year term starting 1 January 2015. SigPort is in the development stage, but it will be the Society’s online archive of manuscripts, reports, theses, and supporting materials.

The Board of Governors of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) has allocated $40,000 for Member-Driven Initiatives for the 2014 calendar year. The funding is open to all Signal Processing Society members, Chapters and Committees. All proposals must include the involvement of one or more local Chapters to encourage geographic development.

The mission of the Information Forensics and Security Technical Committee (IFS TC) is to promote activities within the broad technical areas of information forensics and security. The website that houses IEEE's collection of online courses has been completely overhauled. The former IEEE Expert Now has become the IEEE eLearning Library, and it uses new software for delivering tutorials. The site includes more than 200 courses and webinars from universities, training organizations, and IEEE units.
