This paper proposes a novel screen-shooting resilient watermarking scheme, which means that if the watermarked image is displayed on the screen and the screen information is captured by the camera, we can still extract the watermark message from the captured photo. To realize such demands, we analyzed the special distortions caused by the screen-shooting process, including lens distortion, light source distortion, and moiré distortion.

Video watermarking is a well-established technology to help identify digital pirates when they illegally re-distribute multimedia content. In order to provide every client with a unique, watermarked video, the traditional distribution architectures separately encode each watermarked video. However, since these encodings require a high amount of computational resources, such architectures do not scale well to a large number of users.

This paper presents a comprehensive study of post-mortem human iris recognition carried out for 1200 near-infrared and 1787 visible-light samples collected from 37 deceased individuals kept in mortuary conditions. We used four independent iris recognition methods (three commercial and one academic) to analyze genuine and impostor comparison scores and check the dynamics of iris quality decay over a period of up to 814 h after death.

Epochs are the instants of significant excitation to vocal tract system. Existing methods can extract epochs accurately from clean speech signals. However, identification of epoch locations from band-limited telephonic speech is challenging due to the attenuation of fundamental frequency component and degradation caused by channel effect.

A novel method is proposed to construct arbitrary length perfect integer sequences based on all-pass polynomial. It uses a fact that associative sequence of an all-pass polynomial is guaranteed to be perfect. In addition, geometric series method is our special case.

While substantial noise reduction and speech enhancement can be achieved with multiple microphones organized in an array, in some cases, such as when the microphone spacings are quite close, it can also be quite limited. This degradation can, however, be resolved by the introduction of one or more external microphones ( XM s) into the same physical space as the local microphone array ( LMA ).

This paper addresses the problem of multichannel online dereverberation. The proposed method is carried out in the short-time Fourier transform (STFT) domain, and for each frequency band independently. In the STFT domain, the time-domain room impulse response is approximately represented by the convolutive transfer function (CTF).
