Consulting Area Editors – Role DescriptionThe Consulting Area Editor (CAE) role is appropriate for early-career researchers who do not yet meet the seniority requirement (typically five years from PhD graduation) for the Associate Editor (AE) role. CAEs are typically expected to have (i) completed a PhD (or have comparable industry experience), (ii) prior experience as reviewers for the journal (or a similar journal or conference), and (iii) a strong publication record in their field.
