The Nominations and Appointments Subcommittee for each Technical Committee is currently seeking nominations for new Members, as well as the Vice Chair position for some Technical Committees. Nominations for both positions should be submitted directly to each Technical Committee’s Nominations and Appointments Subcommittee. Nominations must be received no later than 15 August 2010.

IEEE Xplore Mobile gives users the ability to conveniently perform searches of over two million technical documents with any mobile device connected to the Internet. The Vice President-Awards and Membership, Michael D. Zoltowski, is seeking nominations for the position of Chair of the Fellow Reference Committee. The term of appointment is three years (1 January 2011-31 December 2013). The position is responsible for chairing the Fellow Reference Committee and the Fellow Reference Committee is responsible for evaluating nominations for IEEE Fellow that are referred for review by the IEEE Fellow Committee. The Fellow Reference Chair is also a member of the SPS Awards Board.

The IEEE Technical Committee on Multimedia Signal Processing invites proposals to host the IEEE International Workshop on Multimedia Signal Processing (MMSP) in 2012. Proposals are open to all regions, but to keep with the practice of regional rotation, preference will be given to proposals from Regions 1~7 and 9 (America and Canada).
