Dr. Meredith Ringel Morris is Director of People + AI Research at Google. Prior to joining Google Research, Dr. Morris was Research Area Manager for Interaction, Accessibility, and Mixed Reality at Microsoft Research, where she founded Microsoft’s Ability research group. 

Dr. Oriol Vinyals is a Principal Scientist at DeepMind, and a team lead of the Deep Learning group. His work focuses on Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Prior to joining DeepMind, Oriol was part of the Google Brain team. He holds a Ph.D. in EECS from the University of California, Berkeley and is a recipient of the 2016 MIT TR35 innovator award. 

Dr. Max Welling is a research chair in Machine Learning at the University of Amsterdam and a Distinguished Scientist at Microsoft Research (MSR). He is a fellow at the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR) and the European Lab for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS) where he also serves on the founding board. 

Dr. Luna Dong is ACM Distinguished Member for her contributions on knowledge integration and knowledge fusion, and the recipient of the VLDB Early Career Research Contribution Award for "Advancing the state of the art of knowledge fusion". The Knowledge-based Trust project she led at Google was called the “Google Truth Machine” by Washington’s Post.

Kush R. Varshney was born in Syracuse, NY in 1982. He received the B.S. degree (magna cum laude) in electrical and computer engineering with honors from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, in 2004. He received the S.M. degree in 2006 and the Ph.D. degree in 2010, both in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge.

Dr. Henrique Malvar is a Fellow of the IEEE and a Member of the US National Academy of Engineering. He is a Distinguished Engineer at Microsoft Research, having previously served as Managing Director of the largest Microsoft Research Lab in Redmond, WA. Prior to joining Microsoft in 1997, he was Vice President of Research and Advanced Technology at PictureTel Corporation. Prior to that he was a professor at University of Brasilia. 

Greg Mori is Senior Research Director for RBC's Borealis AI and a Professor in the School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University. Greg Mori was born in Vancouver and grew up in Richmond, BC. He received a Ph.D. degree from UC Berkeley in 2004 and an Hon. B.Sc. from the University of Toronto in 1999.  He was a Visiting Scientist at Google in 2014-2015.
