Multimedia Signal Processing
The MMSP TC Nominations and Elections Subcommittee is seeking nomination of new TC members. The nomination deadline is September 15, 2026.
Candidates and nominators should complete the nomination form.
Elected TC members will serve a 3-year term from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2029.
There will be 11 spots to fill for this nomination (2 members are completing their second term and 9 their first term).
Eligibility:
TC member candidates can be self-nominated or nominated by current TC members, retired TC members, or established people in the MMSP field. The nominator should inform the nominee in advance. One nominator can nominate more than one candidate.
Retiring TC members that only served one term can run for a second 3-year term. Members that already served two terms can only run after a 3-year hiatus. Members of the MMSP-TC must be current IEEE and SPS members of good standing or be willing to join if elected.
TC Member Responsibilities:
Nominees must acknowledge and fully understand duties of TC members including commitment to review papers for our main conferences (MMSP, ICME, and ICASSP), participation to the vote for the election of new TC members, attendance to TC meetings (at least remotely), as well as participation in at least one TC subcommittee.
TC members are expected to actively participate in subcommittee activities, nominate papers and people for awards, carefully analyze and vote on TC elections, volunteer for technical roles, organize or help organize events, and be active in their research field in general.

Nomination and Election Process and Schedule:
Please pay special attention to the various forms of diversity when nominating new Members, including Member seniority (from young professionals to senior members); Members from industry, academia, government agencies; Gender diversity; Regional diversity. Nominations of strong candidates who would help balance our TC are particularly encouraged.

Two weeks after MMSP: Collect votes and announce newly elected TC members.
