The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) invites nominations for the positions of: Director-Membership Services, Director-Industrial Relations, Director-Student Services and Young Professionals Subcommittee Chair. The term for the Director positions, as well as the Young Professionals Subcommittee Chair position is three years (1 January 2018-31 December 2020).
The Director-Membership Services is responsible for identifying value/benefit/services to members and recommending policy/mechanism for recruiting members; developing programs and material to facilitate member recruiting and services; maintaining and developing contacts with leadership and membership constituents; and providing proper communication channels and feedback. The Director is a voting member of the Membership Board and a non-voting, ex-officio member of both the Conference and Publications Boards. The Director-Membership Services chairs the Membership Services Committee. The Director-Industrial Relations is responsible for identifying value/benefit/services to attract/retain industrial members; developing programs and material to facilitate industrial member recruiting and services; maintaining and developing contacts with leadership and industrial constituents; and providing proper communication channels and feedback. The Director is a voting member of the Membership Board and a non-voting, ex-officio member of both the Conference and Publications Boards. The Director-Industrial Relations chairs the Industrial Relations Committee.
The Director-Student Services is responsible for identifying value/benefit/services to Student members and recommending policy/mechanism for recruiting Student members; developing programs and material to facilitate Student member recruiting and services; maintaining and developing contacts with leadership and Student membership constituents; and providing proper communication channels and feedback. The Director is a voting member of the Membership Board and a non-voting, ex-officio member of the Conference Board. The Director-Student Services chairs the Student Services Committee. The Young Professionals Subcommittee Chair heads the Young Professionals Subcommittee and is responsible for identifying value/benefit/services to young professional members and recommend policy/mechanism for recruiting young professional members; develop programs and material to facilitate young professional member recruiting and services; maintaining and developing contacts with leadership and membership constituents; and providing proper communication channels and feedback.
The Young Professionals Subcommittee Chair is a voting member of the Membership Services Committee.
