Three new Members-at-Large will take their seats on the IEEE Signal Processing Society Board of Governors beginning 1 January 2018 and will serve until 31 December 2020. Nine candidates competed for the three Member-at-Large positions.

As a follow up to the message sent last week, we are excited to announce that ICASSP 2018 will be held from 15-20 April 2018 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and we are now accepting papers!

The nomination deadline for the Awards Board and the Nominations and Appointments (N&A) Committee positions is being extended to Thursday, 12 October 2017. 

In 2017, four of the Society’s Major Awards were renamed after a proposal by the Awards Board. The name changes we officially approved by all parties earlier in 2018 and will be put into effect for the 2018 awards cycle.  The new award titles are noted below.
