IVMSP - IEEE Image, Video, and Multidimensional Signal Processing Workshop

IEEE Signal Processing Society’s Image, Video and Multidimensional Signal Processing Technical Committee (IVMSP TC) is soliciting proposals from researchers interested in organizing the 2028 IVMSP Workshop. The IVMSP Workshop is a 3-day workshop and will include tutorials on the first day.

Interested Organizers are asked to complete and submit an Intent to Bid Form by 1 November 2026

Select teams will be shortlisted and invited to prepare full proposals, due 17 March 2027. Proposals will be reviewed and selected by the Technical Committee in April/May 2027.

Shortlisted teams will be asked to create a proposal that follows the following outline:

  1. Introduction: Workshop name, acronym, organizing committee details, dates, format, and expected attendance.
    1. Conference Dates: Ensure they do not conflict with major world holidays, as outlined in the SPS Conference Organizer Guidelines or other SPS conferences and workshops.  
    2. Typically, the workshop is held in June or July.
    3. Organizing Committee Members: Build the organizing committee considering factors including (a) active SPS members; (b) diversity in geographical, industry and academia, age, and gender; (c) conference and/or workshop experience; (d) event management experience.   2. Location & Venue: Venue details, background, capacity, catering, AV equipment, sustainability, surrounding area, and travel restrictions.

  3. Anticipated Support Services & Vendors: Information on Professional Conference Organizer (PCO), paper submission and review tools, publication production, website hosting, registration tool, banking, and contracting.
  4. Program: Overall structure, initiatives for students and industry, networking events, and social programs.
  5. Hotels & Accommodations: Hotels in the area that cater to different attendee budget levels including student housing options.
  6. Budget Summary: Estimated income, expenses, attendees, proposed rates, and tax management.
  7. Additional Information: Any other relevant details and answers to questions.
