The SPS Awards Board is now accepting nominations for 2010 major SPS awards.

The 2011 IEEE Eric E. Sumner Award is being presented to H. Vincent Poor, Princeton University, Princeton, NJ. IEEE selected Prof. Poor to receive the award, "for pioneering contributions to multiple-access communications."

The election of Members-at-Large (term 1 January 2011 through 31 December 2013) and the new Directors-at-Large (term 1 January 2011 through 31 December 2012) of the IEEE SPS Board of Governors is now open. This year's election offers SPS members the opportunity to cast their votes via the web at https://eballot3.votenet.com/IEEE_SE. Ballots must be received at IEEE no later than 1 September 2010 in order to be counted.

SAMIEEE is a web-based ad-hoc query tool that provides volunteers with the ability to gather useful information regarding their Chapter's membership data.

The Vice President-Awards and Membership, Michael D. Zoltowski, is seeking nominations for the position of Chair of the Fellow Reference Committee.

The International Conference on Communication and Signal Processing (ICCSP 2011), hosted by the National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kerala (India) and technically co-sponsored by IEEE Region 10 & IEEE Kerala Section, will be held in Calicut, Kerala, India from Feb. 10 to Feb. 12, 2011.

The voting membership of the IEEE annually elects officers that serve on the top-tier IEEE governing bodies. All eligible voting members on 30 June 2010, as well as those elevated to Member or Graduate Student Member grade on or before that date, are eligible to vote in this year's IEEE Election to begin in August 2010. To help ensure you receive the ballot package, please review your contact information, member preferences, and education information by 15 June 2010. The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is one of the seven technical societies belonging to Division IX. All eligible SPS members will have an opportunity to vote for Division IX Director-Elect.
