Applies to General Signal Processing

Algorithm Engineer

We are looking for people to join the voice research team in our London office who can drive new ideas and create IP and techniques which will enable the development of leading-edge and differentiated voice-related features. We are looking at all levels of experience starting from summer-interns, year placement in industry, MSc graduates, recent PhDs or more experienced individuals with industrial or postdoc work.

Responsibilities:

  • Researching and developing new algorithms in voice-, speaker- and signal-processing related domains
  • Simulating, measuring and optimising algorithms to prove that they meet intended goals, and optimising the design to suit the constraints
  • Maintaining an up to date understanding of techniques, designs and methods from sources such as technical journals
  • Being highly active in the generation of novel, patentable IP

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in one of the following areas of speech enhancement: Voice activity detection; De-reverberation; Echo cancellation; Multi-mic noise reduction; Non-linear processing and control
  • Experience in one of the following areas of speech-related technologies: speech recognition, speaker recognition, language recognition
  • Experience in one of the following areas of machine learning (in an audio context): Neural networks; Bayesian networks, SVM, etc Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++
  • Innovative, creative, lateral thinking
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills and a strong team player
  • Confident verbal and written communicator and presenter
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to senior management as well as peers Ability to work to tight and variable timescales with minimal supervision

Postdoc in Electrical Engineering

Host Professor: Yonina Eldar.

Research Topics:

Postdoctoral positions and PhD positions are available in the Signal Acquisition Measurement and Processing Lab at the Technion. The SAMPL Lab focuses on sampling, modeling and processing of continuous-time and discrete-time signals and on new design paradigms in which sampling and processing are designed jointly in order to exploit signal properties already in the sampling stage. The laboratory facilitates the transition from pure theoretical research to the development, design and implementation of prototype systems in areas ranging from bio imaging trough communications, laser optics, cognitive radio and radar systems.

Research projects are available in the areas of machine learning, biomedical imaging, radar systems, ultrasound and MRI imaging, sampling over graphs, and communication systems.

Qualifications: Applicants should have a Ph.D. (or they are about to graduate) in Electrical Engineering, or applied mathematics. A strong background in signal processing or mathematics is required. Excellent English writing skills are an advantage.
