Call for Nominations: Fellow Evaluation Committee - Chair and Vice Chair Positions

IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) President, Ali H. Sayed, is seeking nominations for the positions of Chair and Vice Chair of the IEEE SPS Fellow Evaluation Committee.  The term of appointment for each position is one year, renewable (1 January 2020-31 December 2020).  Both positions must hold the grade of IEEE Fellow and must be an SPS Member in good standing.

The Chair is responsible for chairing the Fellow Evaluation Committee, which is responsible for evaluating nominations for IEEE Fellow that are referred for review by the IEEE Fellow Committee. The Fellow Evaluation Committee Chair is also a member of the SPS Awards Board. 

The Vice Chair position assists the Chair in performing his/her duties and will act on behalf of the Chair in the event of his/her incapacity.

All nominations should be sent to Theresa Argiropoulos at t.argiropoulos@ieee.org, who will collect the nominations on behalf of Ali H. Sayed. Nominations should be received no later than 31 July 2019. Please provide the following information with the nomination:

  • Name
  • IEEE Member Number
  • Grade
  • Contact information of the nominee
  • Individual’s biographical information
  • Information about the individual’s current activities in the Signal Processing Society, the IEEE, or other professional societies.
