September 2021 - IEEE SPS SAM Webinar Series (SAW) approved

This new monthly seminar series will provide an online platform for the sensor array and multichannel signal processing community to share their most recent research developments covering themed topics about frontier and cutting-edge techniques that are emerging in the SAM community.

July, 2021-Postpone of the Workshop IEEE CAMSAP2021 and Approval of the Workshop IEEE SAM2022

Due to uncertainty generated by the pandemic, the Ninth IEEE International Workshop on Computational Advances in Multi-Sensor Adaptive Processing (CAMSAP 2021) has been postponed to 2023.

As approved by the SAM TC, the Twelfth IEEE Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal Processing Workshop (SAM2022) will be held at Trondheim, Norway, on 20-23 June 2022 (the dates are subject to change).

ICASSP 2017

The 42st IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP 2017) will be held during March 5-9, 2017 in the vibrant city of New Orleans, USA. In 2016 (Shanghai) SAM sponsored 14 sessions at ICASSP, and we expect a similar number this year. We hope to meet you soon in New Orleans!

Welcome to Rio de Janeiro! - The Ninth IEEE Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal Processing Workshop will be held on 10th-13th July 2016 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, located in Gávea, in a superb area surrounded by beaches, mountains and the world's largest urban forest.

Awards

The Technical Committee on Sensor Array and Multichannel (SAM TC) is proud to be successful with 3 Award nominations in the IEEE Signal Processing Society.

• Yonina Eldar received the 2013 IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) Technical Achievement Award for “fundamental contributions to sub-nyquist and compressed sampling, convex optimization and statistical signal processing.”

• Matthew Herman and Thomas Strohmer received the IEEE SPS Best Paper Award for their paper entitled “High Resolution Radar via Compressed Sensing“, published in the IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, Volume: 57, No. 6, June 2009.

Upcoming Workshops

We have just a few weeks until the Fifth IEEE International Workshop on Computational Advances in Multi-Sensor Adaptive Processing (IEEE CAMSAP 2013), which will be held on December 15-18, in the French-Dutch Caribbean island of Saint Martin. Following the format of previous CAMSAPs the workshop will feature an impressive collection of plenary talks with contributions from Lang Tong, Alfred O. Hero III, Lieven De Lathauwer, Thomas Strohmer, Björn Ottersten and Mário A. T. Figueiredo.
