News and Resources for Members of the IEEE Signal Processing Society
IEEE Vaagdevi Engineering College (VEC) Student Branch (SB) conducted a two-day National Level Flagship Event SPYRO 5.O, with the theme of Converging Realities with Generative AI on AWS.
The event started at 10:00AM hosted by Ms.K.Ramyasree and Mr.Syed Sharief Shariq. The event began with a fabulous classical dance performed by Ms. K. Shivani followed by the Jyothi prajwalana ceremony. Our honorable Branch Advisor Ms. V. Madhavi mam & Principal and Branch Counselor Dr. P. Prasad Rao sir addressed the gathering to energize the participants and shared their wonderful experiences with the previous editions of SPYRO. All the Department Heads appreciated IEEE VEC SB's past events and arrangements of SPYRO 5.O and added colors to the Inaugural Ceremony.
The first session, Generative AI, began with the introduction of our eminent speaker Mr. K. Sampath Kumar, senior solution architect in AI & ML at Tata Consultancy Services by Ms. T. Nirjara. The session covered various aspects of Generative AI, including ChatGPT, AI Technology, LLM, Incontext Learning, and the distinctions between Traditional AI and Generative AI. The interaction with the speaker was enriching and the session concluded with heartfelt felicitation to Mr. K. Sampath Kumar.
After a satisfying lunch, the second session, AWS, was started by our volunteer Mr. Rakshith by greeting our expressive speaker Mr. Shivavardhan Vodapalli, an AWS solution architect. Mr. Vodapalli discussed topics like Cloud computing, the significance and history of AWS, VPC, and provided a practical AWS demonstration. The session ended with a warm felicitation for Mr. V. Shivavardhan sir.
Day One of SPYRO5.O ended with Firepit and Groove Gala at 7:30 pm with many memorable experiences to all of the participants.
The Day Two of the event started at 10:00AM by our host Ms.S.Sai sirisha and Mr.Suhas with a recap of Day One.
The first session, METAVERSE, started by Ms. K.Tejaswi introducing our outspoken speaker Mr. K. Surya Prakash, Co-founder & CEO of deeploop technologies. At the beginning of the session, to engage the participants, he made an interactive session with delegates on the topic of entrepreneurship. Later on, sir covered various topics of Metaverse such as meta lifestyle, Metaverse for industries, technology tactics for Metaverse, AI and ML in Metaverse. Sir had clarified the doubts of many delegates with patience and the session ended with a warm felicitation to Mr.K.Surya Prakash.
After lunch, the second session, Personality Development, began by Ms.T.Nirjara introducing our Inspirational Speaker Mr.Benson Cheripelli,a counseling psychologist and Behavior skills trainer. The session was very motivational and sir discussed many aspects like good habits, bad habits, how to succeed in life and how to change ourselves. The session came to end with a heartfelt felicitation to Mr. C.Benson.
The event was followed by a session on Data privacy with greeting our speaker Mr. N. Mahesh, Vice Chair of SAC, IEEE Hyderabad Section by our volunteer Ms. G.Shivani. Sir focused on how to keep our data private and what to do to keep it safe.
Next the session AIOT was carried with introducing our speaker Ms.S.Harivardhagini, Chair of WIE AG, IEEE Hyderabad Section by Mr.S.Yatish Raj. Mam had covered topics like Sensors, types of AIOT, difference between IOT and AIOT.
Later on the session was handed over to our speaker Mr.Tara Sai Kumar sir Chair, SAC IEEE Hyderabad Section, sir given a brief explanation on how to behave ourselves by showing small videos.
The event followed by a felicitation to our speakers Mr. Tara Sai Kumar, Ms. S. Harivardhagini ,Mr. N. Mahesh and to Ex-volunteers of SB.
Later delegates gave a lot of exciting feedback about the event which gives more energy to IEEE VEC SB.
The event continued with Culture Extravaganza. Delegates and volunteers showed their talent in singing and dancing. The Day 2 ended by having a Classic Dinner at 9:00 PM with memorable moments and a brain full of knowledge on various emerging technologies.
