IEEE International Conference on Content-Based Multimedia Indexing (CBMI 2026) Convenes in Toulouse

The 23rd IEEE International Conference on Content-Based Multimedia Indexing (CBMI) will bring together researchers, engineers, and industry leaders from around the world at Université Toulouse Capitole for three days of discussion and discovery on all aspects of content-based multimedia indexing for retrieval, both on theoretical aspects and practical applications.

Organized by an international dedicated organizing committee and co-sponsored by the IEEE Signal Processing Society, IEEE France Section and several universities, CBMI is a premier international forum exploring advances in content-based multimedia indexing for retrieval, browsing, management, visualization and analytics.

This year’s program features long and short papers, as well as demonstration papers and Early Researcher symposium papers. One keynote speaker is Marco BERTINI, head of The Media Integration and Communication Center (MICC), Florence University.

Session topics range from Media content analysis and mining, Multimedia retrieval and recommendation, Video Retrieval for Beginners, Multimodal Data Analysis for Understanding of Human Behavior and Emotions, Multimedia Indexing in the Sphere of Musical Cultural Heritage, Explainability and Fairness in Multimedia Analysis, Multimodal Data Analysis and Fusion for Smart Agriculture to Integrating ethical technologies and community engagement in multimedia technologies development, underscoring CBMI’s growing role as a hub for collaboration between academia and industry.
