The IEEE Signal Processing Society is excited to announce that the SPS Scholarship Program has returned and is accepting applications for 2024!

The 2nd International Conference on recent trends in Microelectronics, Automation, Computing and Communications Systems (ICMACC-24) will be held during 19-21 December, 2024 at Vallurupalli Nageswara Rao Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology (VNRVJIET), Hyderabad, India. 

Nominations will be open 1 December - 15 June for IEEE Medals and Recognitions - IEEE’s highest awards. All are encouraged to submit a nomination for a worthy candidate within their technical fields.

As a service to the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) community, the SPS Challenge Program offers support to challenge organizers by:
- providing an organizational framework for a five-stage process from the proposal to the dissemination of results.
- granting official SPS sponsorship to approved SPS challenges, including use of SPS communication channels.
- promoting dissemination of the results by publishing challenge overview papers in the journals of SPS.

The IEEE Transactions on Multimedia is now accepting nominations for the 2024 Multimedia Prize Paper Award. Nominations are due no later than 15 April 2024.

In the array signal processing research, estimation of the direction-of-arrival (DOA) of the transmitted source signal has long been of great interest and plays an important role in both civilian and military applications such as radar, sonar, geophysics, acoustics, bioengineering, seismology, multimedia, radio astronomy and wireless communication.
