Quick Start Training for Chapter Leaders

from IEEE Member and Geographic Activities (MGA) Board

The IEEE MGA Leadership Training Initiative Ad Hoc Committee is proud to announce the release of the Quick Start Training (for Geographic Unit Leaders), a new training program designed for Geographic Unit Officers in their first 30 days in office. Quick Start Training was developed to help new Officers more quickly understand the roles and responsibilities of their positions and begin the process of member engagement. Positions included in the initial launch of Quick Start Training are: Section Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Technical Chapter Chair.

The release of the Quick Start Training acknowledges our Section leaders' highest priorities as voted on at Sections Congress 2008 in Quebec City. Quick Start Training for Geographic Unit Leaders represents the first of three phases of the IEEE Center for Leadership Excellence (CLE). The objective of the Center for Leadership Excellence is to be the members' resource for volunteer training and world class leadership development. Additional information about CLE training will be provided at a later date.

If you have any questions about the CLE or Quick Start Training, please e-mail MGA Staff.
