News and Resources for Members of the IEEE Signal Processing Society
Wayne T. Padgett, SPE TC Chair
.
As the new chair of the Signal Processing Education Technical Committee (SPE TC), I'm looking forward to a dynamic year of outreach. The SPE TC is pleased to welcome three new members this year, Rich Baraniuk, Lina Karam, and Gail Rosen. Rich Baraniuk has been heavily involved with the TC's effort to partner with Connexions, which provides SPS members and the general public with free access of educational material in a variety of areas including signal processing. The TC's on-going partnership with Connexions is expected to be of great interest to a board audience. Lina Karam is General Co-chair of the 2011 IEEE DSP/SPE Workshop to be held in Sedona, Arizona, and Gail Rosen is SPE Technical Program Co-chair. Plans for the 2011 Workshop are moving forward, and the preliminary call for papers is available at this website. The paper submission deadline is 10 August 2010, so please mark your calendar. We sincerely invite you to share your latest educational innovations at the workshop!
