How to Access Volunteer Content on IEEE.ORG
Source: IEEE Chapter Briefs - March/April 2012 Valuable information for IEEE volunteers, including IEEE Technical Activities volunteers, is available on the IEEE Web site. Volunteer information can be found on the "Volunteer Resources" page at < http://www.ieee.org/about/volunteers/index.html >, which can be linked to from the IEEE homepage. Simply go to the homepage at < http://www.ieee.org > and locate the vertical menu to the far right of the page. Under the "Resources for ..." menu, click on the "Volunteers" link. This link will take you to the Volunteer Resources page, which contains information on the following:
- How to volunteer at IEEE
- Major boards and organizations
- Administrative and operational resources
- Governance, policies and guidance
- Services available to volunteers
- Additional resource collections
- Nominated and appointed volunteer opportunities
To access Technical Activities content from the Volunteer Resources page, scroll to the "Major boards and organizations" section and click on the "Technical Activities (Societies)" link. This link will take you to the IEEE Technical Activities Board (TAB) page, which contains the following.
- Technical Activities Board (TAB) and TAB committee information, including agendas for upcoming meetings.
- The IEEE TAB Operations Manual and TAB Finance Operations Manual
- Governing Documents and Policies
- Links to templates and forms
- Presentations Library
- Membership development information
- Staff & Volunteer Contact information
