The Board of Governors of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) elected one new officer who will start his term on 1 January 2017: Nikos Sidiropoulos (University of Minnesota ) will serve as 2017-2019 SPS Vice President-Membership. He succeeds Kostas Plataniotis (University of Toronto), who has held the post of Vice President-Membership since January 2014.
