2026 IEEE International Workshop on Information Forensics and Security (WIFS)

The 18th IEEE Workshop on Machine Learning for Signal Processing (WIFS) will bring together researchers, engineers, and industry leaders from around the world at Sakura Hall of Tohoku University for five days of emerging challenges, exchanging fresh ideas and sharing state-of-the-art results and technical expertise in all disciplines associated with Information Forensics and Security. Tohoku University is located in Sendai, Japan, the vibrant capital of Miyagi Prefecture, well known as the "City of Trees" blending urban energy with lush greenery and rich history.
Organized by the IEEE Information Forensics and Security Technical Committee (IFS-TC) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society as its flagship conference, WIFS is the major scientific event addressing all topics related to Information Forensics and Security aspects in a broad sense. Bringing together academic researchers, government agencies and industrials, this leading conference allows discussing of emerging challenges, exchanging fresh ideas and sharing state-of-the-art results and technical expertise in all disciplines associated with Information Forensics and Security.
Session topics range from Applied Cryptography, Biometrics, Blockchain Security, Information Theoretic Security, Data Privacy and Anonymity, Privacy and Surveillance, Hardware Security, Memory Forensics and Carving, Physical Layer Security, Network Security, Security, Privacy and Watermarking of Deep Learning, Deep Learning for Forensics, Digital Forensics and Analysis, Fake News and Misinformation, Multimedia Content Hash, Steganography, Steganalysis and Covert Communications, to Watermarking, Data Hiding and Content Protection. Special session proposals are also being called.
Prospective authors are invited to submit research papers presenting original works before 15 July 2026. We look forward to seeing you in Sendai in December!
