The Board of Governors of the IEEE Signal Processing Society invites nominations for the society-level Fellow Evaluation Committee Evaluator and Fellow Search Committee Member positions. 

Fellow Evaluation Committee Evaluator: The term of appointment is one year (1 January 2027-31 December 2027), renewable for up to three consecutive years. Each committee member is responsible for evaluating nominations for IEEE Fellow that are referred for review by the IEEE Fellow Committee and providing the IEEE-level judging committee with a critical evaluation and assessment of nominees referred to the Society by the nominator.

Note: All candidates must be an active IEEE Fellow, an active Society member in good standing, and cannot be a member of the IEEE Fellow Committee or the IEEE Board of Directors. If appointed, members cannot serve as a Nominator for any Fellow nominees or serve as References or Endorsers for any Fellow Nominees evaluated by SPS.

Fellow Search Committee Member: The term of appointment is one year (1 January 2027-31 December 2027), renewable for up to three consecutive years. Fellow Search Committee Members are tasked with identifying suitable nominees for the upcoming cycle for possible elevation to IEEE Fellow with particular emphasis on nominees who reflect the breadth of IEEE membership and the professional communities identified with IEEE.

Note: All candidates must be an active IEEE Fellow, an active Society member in good standing, and cannot be a member of the SPS Fellow Evaluation Committee, IEEE Fellow Committee or the IEEE Board of Directors.

Nominators are encouraged to take into consideration the nomination slate with respect to region, career sectors, and technical areas, when submitting their nominations. The IEEE expects the composition of both committees to meet the following requirements:

• A maximum of 50% of members from Regions 1-7
• A minimum of 10% of members from each of the following Regions: 8, 9, and 10
• No more than 60% of members from education
• At least one member from the Standards community is recommended.

Nominations for the Fellow Evaluation Committee Evaluator and Fellow Search Committee Member positions should be submitted in the online nomination platform no later than 23 June 2026.
